Sometimes you just know or have a hunch. Like I said, my Monroe guess came from absolutely nowhere. It was just me saying, "What if this is the puzzle?" A few letters later I was able to confirm it.
And actually a 27 letter one would probably be easier than, say, a 4 letter one which could be absolutely anything. I'm mostly surprised that she correctly guessed "got" instead of something like "had."

I think its legit.
I had my moment similar to this as a kid once. We had our 5th grade field trip to Balboa Park and while taking a break during a hike somewhere there, we all stopped and broke into two teams and played a similar game. The teams were tied 1-1 and we had
"_ _ _ A _ _ _ _ _ _ A _"
The other team got the A and before my team guessed a letter, I had a hunch to guess the word/phrase and blurted out El Camino Real. That ended up being the correct answer.

I don't believe this was in anyway cheating/staged/seen backstage. Seems legit to me. It's not outside the realm of possibility. I know a few people who can regularly guess these puzzles with few letters up there(I, however, suck at WOF).

If she didn't cheat, she was stpuid. If she thought she might know what is was, not not guess 'G' and get more money. You guess the letter that is only there once. Guess G and you confirm your thougts and win more money.Comment
