^^^^^^^^ Nice gear man. You're set for a while. You see that they've announced the new HDMI 2.0 specs? I heard it on the htguys podcast.
WTF......you made any audio decisions for the man cave? Keep us updated.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 09-07-2013, 09:36 AM.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Best Buy has this TV on sale for $783 through tomorrow. Seems like a decent deal. I don't really need a smart TV though so that takes some value away.

Thoughts on this set? I'm a fan Panasonic's plasmas. One thing I can't tell is how bad the screen glare might be. Trying to minimize it the best you can with a plasma. Looking for size over smart features/3D. So any other suggestions welcome.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 09-21-2013, 06:48 PM.Comment

Going to not get the gimmick features of a smart TV and put that towards a superior audio experience. Maybe 4K in a couple of years.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 09-23-2013, 06:34 PM.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I have not heard great things on the Panasonic 4k. From the sounds of it, the upscaler is struggling much like the LG and Samsung. I saw one at a Panasonic conference last week and the upscaling was rather disappointing, especially for a demo by Panasonic. The picture quality, in terms of color accuracy and color balance was pretty solid though. Similar to the Samsung, great picture quality, but the upscaler isn't worth the purchase because where we're at for 4k content at this point.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
What audio system would you guys recommend for under $400 that I can upgrade piece by piece overtime? There is a chance it's in an odd shaped/big living room. Finally researching for myself and not others who can't see/hear a difference. TV recommendations also welcome. Let's say everything for under $1,600 and start going up from there.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 09-24-2013, 12:40 AM.Comment
