Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
4.9-6.9 will be optimal for 55.

Oh ok I have heard about stuff when it comes to how close you should be to a TV to get the full benefits of it but I wasn't sure if being around 6 feet would be close enough to a 49-55 to where it could mess up your vision.Comment

Not trying to side track but you really don't want to get a large refund, just giving the government interest-free money throughout the year.Comment

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I just bought my set back in February, this is the one I wanna replace with a 4k set. This is an LG 55" 1080p, still doesn't look that bad .

I have a 55 inch Samsung that I love. Will be loving it to another room when I pick up the 4K Samsung.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I really am excited to venture into TV shopping again, but I really have to wait out from LED being the only tech competitors are releasing against one another. OLED seems to be monopolized by LG, and Samsung is holding out till QLED becomes prominent from them. Until then... I just have to tell myself to sit and wait. The only exception is if I get a 4K monitor for my computer until then.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Oh, I had many other one-liners to go to as well regarding its curves and inputs, but I'm sure you've spent many hours with it in the previous room so there's not too much more advice to give.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
What's a good 55ish set for under 1k that would be "future proof" and good for multi-purpose (gaming, TV, movies)?
