Does anyone have any suggestions for something in the range of $400-500? I wasn't sure if you have have come across any deals considering upcoming July 4th deals. I'm realistically looking for something around 46". Smart Tv would be great, but I'm not looking for any other particular features. It will really only be used for sports and movies. Thanks for the help!

I think the consensus is OLED looks best regardless if resolution. I doubt the 4k the look better than 1080p LCD with 1080p content. In fact, it may appear slightly worse.

          Fry's has an LG 65" 4K TV for $1199 ($1100 off of $2299). Seems like a steal.

Anyone have any opinions on this TV? Looks like a 2014 model.

4K TV will not look worst with 1080p content.

It upscales but wont be much different.

It comes down to what the tv offers to make pq better

My 65HU9000 makes my games and movies look much better then 1080p samsung

Not a bad deal. My only concern would be input lag on this tv.

Personally, I want to see what Vizio brings to the table this year. Plan on getting a 65 or 70 inch 4k TV that won't break the bank and have low input lag for gaming.

Maybe not a Smart TV but you could get an inexpensive Vizio for around your price point. I have 4 of them never a problem and for the money a nice picture. Really. Unless you are willing to spend a lot more money you are not going to get an appreciably better picture near their prices.

Same plans here but I am not getting a 4K unit at this time. I read a review or two on the new 65" supposedly their is an unacceptable amount of input lag on the 65 not the 70 but they use the same panel so who knows? BF I am getting a 65 or 70 really want the 70 for the family room.

                        Decent TV for the money.

It looks nicer than the 2014 version, but on the inside there's not much different about 2015 Vizio E-series TVs. It has good picture quality for the price, but ...

Why do I feel like you and authentic keep getting a new TV every two months?

HAHA... I usually keep my tv a year or two at most. I sell it high and buy the model I want right around the time it is being discontinued
