Did any of the 60 Minutes reporters tell Mark to "Say hi to your mother for me"?

What a transformation from Marky Mark to Mark Wahlberg, actor and producer.

I didn't realize how dedicated he was to making a film about his sports hero, Mickey Ward.

I dont know if if is really a transformation or not. He is just a really talented dude.
He could still go back and be a singer/rapper right now there is just not the audience for it anymore. I remember seeing a special on MTV about him and his brother one time. Donnie wanted him to join TNKOTB and Mark wasnt having it, he thought they were a bunch of sissies!

Mark is a solid actor, I don't know about great, but he's solid. The Departed was like the perfect role for him, but outside of it, he's had plenty of misses. A good "tough guy" actor, though. I hate the idea of him as Mickey Ward, he looks so miscast, and that movie all together just looks bad aside from Bale probably pulling a great performance out of the brother character.

The Happening was probably his best performance, IMO.

Did they touch on his hate crime at all?

They didn't say anything about a hate crime, only that he put some guy's eye out.

Mark as Drake actually seems like a pretty good fit

I was hoping for a bit of a younger guy for the role, perhaps even "more attractive" (in a way that the female lead would more convincingly fall for him). Maybe Chris Pine or Chris Evans.

                              More attractive?

Mark Wahlberg is a fine human brainy.

Well, I can understand that. Wahlberg is a bit older and more "tough guy" than the role requires, I think.

I could maybe buy Chris Evans (for the sarcasm aspect) but I don't know if he's believable enough in the toughness department for me...a bit too goofy.

I don't see Chris Pine at all.

As for attractiveness, I'll leave you to your opinion on that....not a concern for me
