I listen to all kinds of music except country - These would be playing from an IPod - Noise cancelling and Sound leakage are pretty important

Good question.....

For music $15 headphones do me quite well. All I need is bass. I say go to best buy and try the ones they have there since they are all out and open.

Neither of them are noise canceling. The 448s are going to be less isolating with less bass but are much easier to drive. I probably wouldn't suggest using the 280 pro with an iPod without an amp.
