I used to buy DVDs, then I realized, what's the point? I'm not rewatching any of the movies any more than two times. It's a waste for me.

I rent the ones I'm mildly interested in seeing.

Amazon lightening deals have just started 2 minutes ago. They going to be taken stuff down and putting new stuff up every 4 hours. So far nothing good is up other then Splatterhouse, Heavy Rain and demon souls.

So far as tvs go, a lot of them are Vizio razors LED edge lit tvs. They do have some 50 inch LG plasmas for $899 though with free shipping.

NBA 2k11 is coming later today...go to the cyber monday page, filter video games and scroll several items. Several others are obvious, but some aren't dead giveaways - at least, not like saying MJ's involved.

Another teaser description toward the very end caught my eye - "Enter a new dimension of the Cold War". Could that be Black Ops!?

Same. Some new format will come out and I'll have to get rid of everything and start over again.

Same here, I used to buy DVDs every week. But then stopped. And now either Red Box or Netflix.

Only when a new line of TV's come out as well that can produce 4K resolution will a format upgrade even be necessary.

The way I see it, I have spent less money on every Blu-ray disc that I own than I will spend on an upgraded HDTV and HT system. You just have to weigh the costs is all.

Plus, I sure hope they'll have a good exchange program in the works if a new format becomes readily available. I don't think we're looking at one for some time though anyway. Blu-ray is finally becoming mainstream, why tarnish it?

I stopped too. Most of the DVD's I bought were movies I'd already seen. I'd collect them, but not watch them.
I did break down with the sales this week and bought my first 2 blu-rays, the new Batman movies for $5 each. And The Wire season 1 - I know I'll watch that again.

Link? I can not locate XPS Labtops on Dell it seems!

                            EDIT: NVM found them.

The exchange program for VHS to DVDs and cassettes to CD's was crap. I'm not knocking Blu-ray, it's a great piece of technology.

Amazon.com has Mad Men season one for 9.99, season two is 9.99 as well and season three is 12.99.

The complete series of the Sopranos is down to 155.99, from 300.

                                EDIT:

BestBuy.com has every season of Mad Men for 9.99. Along with any season of 24, Weeds and a few other shows.
