Yeah, it's a kid show that my 1 year old loves and they have all these stars come on and dance with them. Quite silly as you can tell. Plus one of the guys from Devo draws pics of bugs and such for them. I really think the makers of these shows are on some good drugs.
Took me a while to figure out Gabba Gabba. The production values are terrible (compared to a show like Backyardigans where the songs are well written and performed and the characters' dancing is mo-capped). The Yo-Gabba songs are so simplistic and the messages are so wierdly specific. Don't bite your friends? A whole song that just repeats "theres a party in my tummy, so yummy, so yummy" for 2 minutes? On the other hand, it regularly has some good guests and funny segments like The Biz's beat of the day.
Sadly, I've given this alot of thought. I think this show is a parody of those 70's public access kid's shows. Like a Kaptain Kangeroo spoof replete with ridiculous host DJ Lance and tons of 70's and 80's references, not to mention some REALLY trippy cartoon segments. Their in-show toons look like a Beatles video.

Yeah my 4 year old loves this show as well. I think Jack Black is one of the creators or producers of the show.

my kid loves this show, EXCEPT when they air the Jack Black episode. he throws a fit like you wouldnt believe. at first i thought something was wrong with him. happened again a week or so later, then again 2 weeks later. i then realized what the issue was. it was Jack Black!! lol..
i love this show and so does my oldest ... the reason the song lyrics are so simplistic is done for a reason ... they repeat the main points over and over to get them into the head of the child without having to interpret all the filler words. it does work.
Individuality: Always remember that you are unique. Just like everybody else.
I remember seeing this when the show first aired a few years ago. My daughters loved that show but have outgrown it since. All they would do is sing that "party in my tummy" song and drive me ape**** with it!!!
Back to that episode...my wife DVR'd it cause it was so funny and we must have had it on there for 6 months!!!
Don't blame me for what those nitwits said...They don't speak for me!!!
That episode is a few years old, but is absolutely hilarious...My wife and I DVR'd after watching it with our son when he was 2 (now 3) and love it. Jack Black is one of my fav Hollywood personalities.
