    Biggest Disappointments of 2010

Figure it's just about time for this thread to start up.

What were your biggest disappointments in the entertainment world this year?

Off the top of my head right now -

Music: T.I's album, Kid Cudi's second album, not being able to go to the Eminem show in NY.

Television: I actually don't think anything really disappointed me this year. Boardwalk and Walking Dead were good, Dexter picked up and has had a good season. Maybe Entourage, but that was good...just different.

Movies: This is one I'll have to think about a bit more, but right now Iron Man 2 comes to mind.

    So, what about you guys?

Strongly disagree on Cudi's album...one of my favorite CD's this year.

Movies: (I'll definitely have to think more about this as well)
      - Iron Man 2
      - Saw 3D

      Sports:
      - Boston Red Sox (though they had injuries up the wah-zoo)
      - Indianapolis Colts
      - San Diego Chargers
      - LeBron James (not a performance-based disappointment)
      - Brett Favre

      Video Games:
      - Bayonetta
      - NBA Elite 11
      - Backbreaker (own and love the game, but am still disappointed with what it could have been)

      Music:
      - Does the Gran Turismo 5 soundtrack count?

Take away three songs and I haven't really been drawn in by anything on the album. I'm still giving it a fair share and try and listen to it once every other week or so just to see, but so far "Scott Mescudi Vs The World," "Mr. Rager" and "Erase Me" are the only three I enjoy listening too.

And Blzer, I actually wasn't disappointed with the Sox this year. I expected them to finish 2nd or 3rd and to finish third and still be within the running as late in the season as they were with the injuries and terrible performances from two of their four starting pitchers was actually a surprise to me.

I'm still trying to think about movies, but I really can't come up with any that disappointed me. Maybe Alice in Wonderland, as well, with Iron Man 2.

          Movies:
Due Date-The previews were hilarious, the movie was nothing special.
          Grown Ups

          Sports:
          Cincinnati Bengals
          Carson Palmer

          Video Games:
          Fallout: New Vegas
          MLB 10 The Show

Overall I think this has been a good year as far as movies and music goes.

              that soundtrack is just garbage.

I don't watch enough movies or tv shows to make an opinion on being disappointing. Worst thing I've watched really was the Cleveland show.

I do agree with Beantown on the two music albums, and I'll throw in the Linkin Park album as well.

Edit: Addazio and Brantley for sports.

Yes I know, I'm kind of putting injuries aside on this one and just seeing how they faired early in the year against the Yankees and Orioles. I don't know, it was a streaky season to say the least... I'm just disappointed nothing came of it is all, again despite the numerous injuries.

                  Re: Biggest Disappointments of 2010

Iron Man 2 probably was the biggest disappointment, movie-wise. I expected a lot more than a commercial for the Avengers.

I wasn't expecting much this year in terms of movies, it's been going downhill for years now. There's like two, maybe three good movies a year these days.

                      TV:
Running Wilde - Anything with that many Arrested Development connections shouldn't be that... mediocre.

The Office - Watch season 2 and watch a recent episode. Totally different show. And the problem with that is that one's phenomenal and one's kind of funny sometimes.

                      Sports:
All Wisconsin teams that aren't the Badgers football team.

                      Music:
Cudi's new album. I'm similar to Beantown, there's songs I like, but I can't listen to it as a whole for some reason. And I loved his first album.

                          I haven't listened to Cudi's second album.

Music: Big Boi's Sir Lucious Left Foot

This. It's decent but I expected it to be better.

This season of South Park was very blah too. There were only two episodes that I really enjoyed: the medical pot ep and the Towelie Intervention ep.

Really. His comeback was so refreshing, but it's already annoying since he's so ridiculously typecasted.

Agreed. Felt like a really half-assed season. Most of the eps were entertaining, they just didn't live up to SP's excellent standard.
