    U-Verse TV

I just got U-Verse. Is there any way to establish a single DVR playlist? e.g. One for me, one for my girlfriend, one for my girlfriend's daughter?

Have had nothing but problems with (skipping, pauses) it, mostly on the TVs with receivers (not main DVR). There coming out to look at it again, the second time in two weeks.

No, there isn't. I saw the demo video where they "categorized" each family member's preference, but it was part of the advertising, not the visual interface of the system.

U-Verse is the Worst. They've been over here SIX TIMES and have not been able to solve the TV problem. THe system has worked at times (5 days in a row, 8 days in a row, 10 days in a row) and then breaks down for no reason.

the tv is bad, I have had no problems with the internet and phone though

Get rid of the tv and keep the rest if the modem/line isn't the problem

                  Re: U-Verse TV

I had a good experience with U-Verse. I loved it. We have since moved and although we only moved two blocks away U-Verse is not available in my new location. Given the circumstances I doubt U-Verse will be available either, which is rather unfortunate because I would not hesitate to sign up again.

I only had the TV to get all the rebates, then canceled it after getting the money.

                      Re: U-Verse TV

I just dropped the TV service after a year and a half keeping only internet for now.

I've had Uverse off and on over the last 3.5 years. I too have had the TV freeze requiring me to change the channel and then back to get the picture back. Sometimes sound would go out sometime it would not. Sometimes the picture would be blank (black) or freeze like a snap shot. Sometimes it would happen on the HD channels only then it started to occur on the standard channels. Uverse came out 3 times and never resolved the problem. I received replacement equipment, new dvd, receivers, and gateway. They first blamed my setup. I have a hard wired network at home with several switches using the recommended models from the ATT Uverse site.

I disconnected my computers, gaming systems, media server, and switches and wired the receiver directly to tv in the same room. Still froze. Nothing ever fixed it. Line guy would blmae installation, installation would blame line and customer service or technical support said all online tests came back normal. Line guy said I was receiving 125mb signal to home so line was fine. I tried different HDMI cables and nothing worked. It didn't matter if it was my TV, monitor, or PC. So it may be time to ditch.

I just kept with it because it was cheaper than Comcast and I enjoyed the instant channel changes compared to satellite tv service. I had no other issues when at my old place but my current rental has had issues with the service.

I'm right at 40 days now, and have similar encounters and problems that you described.

It is working now. I will play it by ear through this week.
