Is there something in the folder that's running in the background? An executable, a file that's a part of a program, etc?

Are you logged in as a administrator? If not log in as a administrator and then delete the folder.

Right click My Computer or Computer.. Manage.. Groups.. Check the administrators group

What exactly is IN the folder? If it's system files then it won't let you delete them.

That may not help either. I had some folders in the shared folder that it would not let me delete despite being the administrator.
After I got my wife her laptop to match the kids...and it was only me using the PC... I deleted all other profiles but mine and then it allowed me to delete the folders then.

                Re: Question about my Computer

or a virus attached its self to a file that's neccessary for a windows program. That's the problem I have now with my PC it has a virus attaced to some system 32 files and it won't let me erase them. I even identified the files and i can't erase them. so until i get my external harddrive to get stuff off my cpu i 'm stuck. I would need to reboot my computer down to the defaults and it should erase the virus associated to the files
