    Californication - Season 4

    It's back!

The first two episodes leaked so I watched next week's along with the premiere.

Great start. And OMG @ Addison Timlin.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten any responses yet and only 16 views...

Is it because (perhaps) not many around here have Showtime or because this show isn't interesting to the forum?

    Anywho...

I was visiting a friend last winter in LA that insisted we watch all of seasons 1 through 3 and I got hooked instantly...

Tuned in on Sunday and it did not disappoint...

Witty, solid plots and an ever evolving cast of hottie co-stars...

    What's not to like?

Yeah, I love this show. Easily in my top 5, and one that I can watch any episode just about anytime.

Doesn't hurt the shows popularity with me because I would love to have Hank's life, in a sense, with the writing career and all of that. It got to the point that my senior year of college a few of my friends would call me "Moody" just because of this show.

The episode didn't disappoint, and I think most of my friends are going to be disappointed that it seems to be keeping the focus on the dramedy, instead of being a comical show with drama sprinkled in. I, personally, like it the way it is - with drama as the focus and the comedy popping up within the dramatic situations.

And yeah, the Mia look-a-like is even hotter than Mia, which is awesome.

It didn't disappoint at all. Thought it was great, especially the second episode.

I prefer more comedy than the drama, but a good mix is fine. Like I said, I can't stand mindless humor, so it's great to actually have a story and depth to the characters.

Damn you're friend insisted on watching 18 hours of footage??!

I love this show. I just don't have Showtime. I will watch these episodes soon.

            HA!

I was there for a week and a half and the shows are about 22 minutes long w/o commercials, so it wasn't a problem...

I think we topped out at about six at a time, so that's really like watching a movie...

The show also lends itself to a number of informal "drinking games", which makes the time fly as well...

Anyone else stick this thing out to the end? The series certainly dropped off in quality towards the end, but there were still laughs to be had up to the end. I'm going to miss Hank, Runkle, Marcy and Stu now that it's over.

Now that it's over I'm going to binge watch the final season on Showtime on Demand the next few days. I didn't know it had come back until a couple of weeks ago.

Yea, I still was watching. Very repetitive, but still entertaining.

Didn't even know that this was the last season.

Im going to admit that I gave up after 5. 4 really should of been end of the series it just felt like a much fitting way to end the series and ties up the big arc of Hank sleeping with Mia in the pilot. But they dragged it one 3 years too long.

I enjoyed the final season a lot. I think that it ended on a good note. I'm gonna miss hearing that theme song, it was definitely an interesting ride.

Been watching this a lot recently. I'm in season 5 right now. Season 5 doesn't seem as good as 1-4 though. 1-4 was classic.

I won't spoil things but don't expect the show to reclaim the glory it had during Season 1-4

Yeah I figured it was all down hill from here. Seems to be the common theme for TV shows.

Especially with Showtime series. Weeds suffered the same issues as Californication. It was a great series for the first handful but they kept it going for way too long and it just gets tedious to sit through. I don't know if the same concept applies to Dexter but it does for Weeds and Californication. Season 4 had the perfect ending and they decided to keep it going.
