Also, you mentioned the tiny speakers on LEDs. I've been reading up on that and alot of people have been complaining about that, unless you've got it hooked up to a home entertainment system, the sound is terrible. That may be an issue for me.
For an everyday tv, the Insignia should be fine and be within your budget. I'd recommend differently if this was for a living room or home theater.

I would not splurge on the Insignia LED either. It will be edge-lit which will provide you nothing more than a thinner tv. Picture quality will not improve and may actually be a little worse. The sound will almost definitely be worse.

    Good luck.

I was contemplating an LCD over an LED but in the end, the picture quality of the LED was too much to pass up. I went the route of Amazon since I have free 2-day shipping. Price tag was a little under $900.

That's a premium price tag on a 32 inch display. Must have a heckuva picture.

It's gorgeous. I had it callibrated(a friend of mine owns a home theater business so it was done for free thankfully)and it's amazing. I'll put on a blu-ray when I'm bored sometimes just to look at the picture lol.

Yeah, how much worse are talking about when it comes to sound? Keep in mind that I'm upgrading from a standard tube television. I'm really leaning away from the Insignia's, as I'm hearing bad things. The only thing I've found thats in my price range is an LG, but the problem is that it's 60Hz, as opposed to 120Hz. Well Im assuming it is because it doesnt say. This is the one.

What do you think? How much of a difference is 120Hz and 60Hz? Also how much of a difference is the 20W speakers in LCD and 16W speakers in the LED?

That looks good, but I'm assuming you have a home theatre set up and this is set up in the living room or something? I'm just looking for something to have in my bed room, that wont have a home theatre.

In comparison to a home theater system (or sound bar), tv speakers are nowhere as good--across the board. There's no magic to it-- super thin tv means tiny speakers are put in, which are already bad to begin with.

It's in my bedroom. My friend's 50 inch LCD is in the living room.

Long story short, I've got a very good home theater system hooked up to the TV.

It won't always be that way. Once I have my own place, I'll likely just have a basic setup with this TV. But right now, I've got thousands of dollars worth of home theater pumping the sound for this TV.

Yeah, but perhaps, your bad is my average(based on what I'm used to) and your good, is my amazing, know what I mean? Also whats the main difference between 60Hz and 120Hz? Is there a noticable difference? Is 120Hz really better to the point where 60Hz shouldnt be considered?

It's all relative I guess. If gaming is the primary job of the tv, I'd stay away from 60Hz. With LCDs, you're trying to eliminate motion blur which is mainly done with 120 Hz.

You really need to go and see/hear these tvs in action. YOUR eyes are the best judge when it's your money. We all have different preferences. You may not be bothered by the moving images done by a 60Hz set.

FYI: In the Best Buy weekly ad, they have a 32" Panasonic LCD for $300. It's only 720p but it may be better than paying $400+ on a Insignia. Definitely worth a look.

                      That panasonic, is it 120Hz?

You've been so much help to me, I've actually gathered enough information thanks to you to be able to make a educated assessment on what TV to get. So let me recap.

-LED is better than LCD, but not that much better especially considering how bad the sound is compared to LCD due to its size.
-120Hz is best, especially if gaming is primarily what I'll be doing.
-Stick to name brands. Name brands of similar specs will be better than off-brand.

If 60Hz woulda been okay, then I would have found my TV.
