More like Fran and next weeks loser duel. Then winner stays on redemtion island and the loser goes home. The next week another loser comes in to duel. The winner stays and the loser goes home. Rinse and repeat over and over until one person is brought back.

Oh ok. I thought the winner of the duel (Fran vs next weeks loser) would automatically get back in the game and then the next two losers would face off with the winner re-entering. etc, etc. I didn't think the winner had to duel every week.

I thought the same thing. That kind of defeats the purpose of doing it. I thought the point was to create a little more drama by having a person backdoored, but then coming back the next week because they won the challenge.

It really won't matter until the final weeks. I don't see fran going on a streak and winning duel after duel.

Yeah this is how it is. If Fran wants to get back in the game she'll have to win the duel each week.

I wouldn't expect the winner coming out of Redemption Island lasting very long unless they win individual immunity each time. By the time the merge comes around there will be some solid alliances formed. Should Fran for example make it all the way back she could be gone from the tribe for like 21 days.

I wouldn't expect the winner coming out of Redemption Island lasting very long unless they win individual immunity each time. There are a ton of scenarios where the person coming back could survive for quite a while.

Like imagine the person comes back at the merge with both tribes at 5 members each. They'd be the swing vote and have to decide whether to side with the people who voted them out or the people that they don't really know.

And all we know there could be a clue to a hidden immunity idol on Redemption island too.

I wouldn't be surprised if, when they come back into the game, they get immunity for the first Tribal Council

Thats a strong possibility. Like Sven said, The person may end up being a swing vote too if they come back at the right time, making them valuable upon return. Also, it seems like the Redemption Island what-ifs they were showing were pretty deep in the game, What if they come back when there is only 4 others left.....That would be alot of duals, but the tribe back at the camp will have no idea who is still on redemption island.

Didnt want to make a completely new thread or dig up an old one but apparently Russell was the "snitch" that was passing insider info to a Survivor fan site that would then leak the info on the internet. Russell obviously denies it but apparently they have emails between the two that have been brought forward by the person who was in contact with Russell and the name Russell uses in his correspondance happens to be the name of a water tank company that Russell owns. I don't know, it's convenient that the entire emails aren't shown. I mean, I could easily create an email "hantztankering@_______.___" and pass myself off as Russell.

Sure, but would you also know all the inside info that turned out to be right? It cant possibly be some random fan so its either Russell or another contestant who did their homework in an attempt to frame Russell and that makes no sense to me either. Russell's personality makes something like this completely believable imo but we will see as this all plays out I suppose.

The people at survivorsucks use to think the poster was Russell's wife but now we know it's just a fan that got info from Russell. I know Russell has denied it (and even if he did do it he shouldn't admit to it since it's a breach of his contract and he can get sued). Shame on EW for not covering this story. Russell is probably the biggest star in the Survivor franchise right now so I can't picture CBS taking him directly to court.

The guy who found the Idol really played Russell good. I would have been tempted to say, "I've already got the Hidden Immunity Idol you dummy!"
I don't think Russell lasts long this year... unless his team keeps winning.

Rob turned on his 6 person alliance too soon. They should have voted off Mr. Secret Agent. I don't know how you could trust someone that's so crazy.

The Hidden Immunity Idols are so poorly hidden. The guy goes out collecting rocks and it's right there. BURY the idols in the sand somewhere so the clues actually mean something.
