    Winzip?

hey all, noob question here but everybody has to start somewhere right?

my Winzip evaluation period has ended and they wont let me open anymore files until I pay up. 29.95 for the standard edition.

just curious, Is there a way to get this for free or do they have me by the nads? I use this for roster sharing purposes only, thanks for any help or info...

    Re: Winzip?

just download the free winrar...or 7zip.

7zip is free forever, while winrar technically is free for 30 days, although it never actually does anything besides nagging you to pay.

I had no idea winzip was a pay software. I thought it came standard on Windows.

Windows 7 (and maybe XP but not sure) have unzip abilities. Not sure about .rar files though
