    HP WebOS Discussion

They had an announcement today, revealing two phones and a tablet running WebOS.

Looks pretty damn good, but summer is a long time away...

The tablet looks ****ing awesome, as does the Pre 3. Don't know if I'll be able to wait for summer to get the phone though, because my original Pre is starting to slow up pretty good.

Hands on with the Pre3: http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/09/h...irst-hands-on/

I hear a lot of good things about webOS, but they've lost a lot of momentum ever since HP bought Palm. Summer is too late to launch their tablet with Ipad 2 coming in April and the onslaught on honeycomb tablets starting in a few weeks.

Its gonna be difficult for Palm to regain a foothold in the marketplace. They have a solid OS, they just need more apps. I like the tablet, but the phones don't do anything for me.

The mobile software marketplace is getting too crowded. There's iOS, Android, Blackberry's tablet OS, webOS and Windows Phone 7. More developers need to take advantage of tools like Adobe Air so apps can flourish on all platforms.

Yeah, I've gotten used to WebOS and really dig the multitasking so I'm extremely excited for the TouchPad. Well I'll be excited until the price is revealed.

The veer is hilarious to me, though. Can it get any smaller?

Yeah it seems extremely small. I'm not thoroughly sure on the purpose of it.
