The Grammys are about main stream pop and country music.

99.999999% of the people watching last night have no idea who Guru is.

The Avett Brothers > Mumford & Sons.

Mumford & Sons is good music, but I don't "get" the whole hype around them. They remind me of how the Fleet Foxes were two years ago.

Avett Brothers are amazing live. Probably the most energetic band I have seen. They rock out like a punk band.

Apparently I need to see Cee Lo in concert. He's like a big ball of Screamin' Jay Hawkins/George Clinton, Motown, and of course Cee Lo.

          Gwyneth actually sounds decent.

I love Little Lion Man... probably my favorite song of 2010. Did Mumford and Sons only play The Cave?

Agreed, but I don't think she was nominated or eligible even was she? IIRC Metropolis was nominated, so se would have gotten a New Artist nod back then.

              REALLy enjoyed Cee Lo's performance.

Edit: Could B.O.B. have pretended to play that guitar any worse?

I like Little Lion Man too, but it's the only song I know from them. I guess just because it's something different.

Have you listened to Esperanza Spalding? I like Janelle Monae but Esperanza is more talented.

Yeah I have no idea why she was in that category but I'm glad she got recognized in one of the mainstream categories and not just relegated to jazz, which no one pays attention to.

Yeah I randomly bought her album a few years ago when I saw it just cause I hadn't seen a female bassist with a solo album before and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.

People's view on what "good" music is is seriously twisted sometimes.
