People are pathetic. You know who they are now, you losers. Maybe they can start listening to some real music now. I really enjoyed Arcade Fire's performance and semi glad they won. It's about time someone noteworthy and not all over the radio won.

Re: The Grammys 2/13/11
I am one of the many who had never heard of arcade fire. For all I know I have heard their song on the radio and liked it, I don't care about the grammys and love plenty of unknown bands. That live performance was absolutely terrible though. The reason people are freaking out is because they were unwatchable and that was the first time most people had ever heard of them.Comment

Heaven forbid a musical act actually having some talent. Arcade Fire is an amazing band. They are so talented they actually rotate the instruments they play during their live shows. Hell, nowadays you're lucky to see any big name that can play one or isn't auto tuned."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. It's all subjective though. One person's feeling on what good music is, is almost never the same as another's. That's the mistake some people make w/ music, put too much weight into believing everyone should like the artists they like. Not saying you specifically, just a general sentiment I see a lot, especially in this generation.Comment

Reading those comments you get the impression that more popular a band is the better they are.

Re: The Grammys 2/13/11
Had never heard of either Mumford and Sons or the Avett Brothers prior to the show. Both blew me away and am now listening. Not usually into the folk genre per say, but both bands brought so much emotion to the stage in their play that I just had to pay attention. Personally I enjoyed the emotion and sound of Mumford and Sons more, but enjoyed both a lot.Comment
