    In that case..........WHOA.

I guess it's a lost cause for these guys then.

Jennings actually did that a few times in the first day, even going as far as saying, after buzzing in one time right away, "Don't know if I know this one..."

Airs at 3:30 here in Chicago.

I missed the first day, but caught yesterday...Watson is a beast. Maybe if they programmed a variable delay so he wasn't buzzing in immediately Jennings and Rutter would have a shot. The tech is just amazing to watch though.

It's interesting, but it does seem a bit off because Watson is so fast to answer. It's not like we didn't know that computers could process more information quicker then we can. I think it's funny that it answers seemingly simple questions wrong, too. For how advanced it is, to have it answer Toronto to a US Cities question, it's a bit funny. And I'm glad it's still got a ways to go before taking over the world.

Ken Jennings Final Jeopardy answer on the third day was great. GIGGAS agrees.

The only fall back I see to the logic in finding as many Daily Doubles as quickly as possible is that the effectiveness of a DD is based on the dollar amount a player already yields.

It's best to find them later than earlier.

It's best to find them period, wait and it can bite you in the *** if your competitors nab them. No doubt that the team at IBM did a study to find what waiting to find daily doubles did to the outcome of a game.

I'm glad the 2nd game was a lot more competitive it seemed Jennings was catching on and Watson's biggest issues are clues that have to do with entertainment type stuff.

I thought the same thing as well. But, then I figured if you're controlling the board, you shouldn't have to worry.

But you're right. It could bite you in the *** if you wait too long.
