I just wish that we could have got to see the pilot aired as I am curious to see how it turned out.

Re: Wonder Women tv reboot
NBC still has the worst execs in television. One good decision doesn't outweigh all the bad others, let alone the dumb decision they made to even produce the pilot.
But, I do agree, too bad for Palicki. She needs to catch a break."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Wonder Women tv reboot
These suits always screw things up. Corporate executive by day, vigilante crime-fighter by night? That's not what WW is about. Have these dudes read the source material? I bet this could work if you base it on the George Perez stories.
Joss Whedon must be happy.Comment

Re: Wonder Women tv reboot
The whole concept was doomed to fail from the start; every network but NBC knew that.
And yes, Whedon always knew:
With Wonder Woman, you're writing from whole cloth, but trying to make it feel like you didn't. To make it feel like it's existed for 60 years, even though you're making it up as you go along. But who she, and what the movie, is about, thematically, has never been a problem for me."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

New Images and a Positive Review of the Canned ‘Wonder Woman’ Pilot | /Film

We may never see a broadcast of the canned NBC pilot for David E. Kelley's Wonder Woman relaunch, starring Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman. But copies are floating around, and the show is sure to end up as a fully circulated bootleg. Until it hits YouTube, those curious about the show that will never be…Comment

That suit just looks tacky as hell - like something you would buy at a Halloween store.

Yea, I was going to say they should have just shown this costume instead of that travesty from before.
She looks pretty sexy in those images. How did they let such garbage leak but never show these stills? I will never understand productions."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Wonder Women tv reboot
"As Wonder Woman/Diana Themyscira/Diana Prince, Adrianne Palicki was a revelation. I was already a big fan of hers from Friday Night Lights but here she takes center stage and pulls off what is an extremely difficult role. She’s tough, she’s charming, she’s sexy, she’s vulnerable, and she’s got a little bit of an angry edge to her when she’s Wonder Woman that adds just a dash of exciting unpredictability. This could have been a star making turn for Padlicki who certainly deserves one." - Conor Kilpatrick, iFanboy

Nice to see they went with the iconic WW costume tho the top is um...a bit too shiny and tacky. Also I don't recall it being so cleavagy when Lynda Carter was wearing the outfit back in the day.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Wonder Women tv reboot
That script sounds absolutely horrid. Gotta say, though, I'd be interested in seeing this pilot just to see what they did."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Wonder Women tv reboot
The original script was indeed horrid, but from the sounds of it, it was reworked a lot and what they shot for the pilot was actually pretty good. Yes, there were some things that needed to be fixed, but that's usually the case with a pilot.Comment

Just check out my post on pg 7. Lynda had more to bring. I must say I do like the term "cleavagy"!
