Foo Fighters have named their new album. The band's seventh studio record will be titled Wasting Light and will be available on April 12. The lead single for the new effort by Dave Grohl and company will be "Rope."
Producer Butch Vig helmed the sessions for the album, which was recorded in Grohl’s garage. The album features a mini-Nirvana reunion. Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic guests on Wasting Light, which, of course, features former Nirvana drummer Grohl and Nevermind producer Vig.
The Foos recently released a video for album track "White Limo."

Foo Fighters return to a Lo-Fi, less commercial sound. I've been tracking this for a while now and will be a day one purchase for me.

Not one of my favorites either, but the Fighters have always been a case of hit or miss. When they are on, the songs are really good, but when they are off, they are REALLY OFF. This was one of those off songs. It rocked hard enough, as the entire cd is suppose to I hear, but the singing killed it. Still won't stop me from buying the disc.

Eh, I can handle a bit of screaming. It certainly wouldn't be the worst vocal performance in my music collection.

Really good. I love "Rope", "These Days" and "Back and Forth".

It's easily their best since There is Nothing left to Lose. I like pretty much the entire disc,except Matter Of Time.

Fantastic album, I was blown away. It may be their best album, with the possible exception of Colour and the Shape.
