Apps that run on an Android phone will run on an Android tablet. Much like the iPad is just a big iPhone without the ability to make calls, these tablets are big Android phones without the ability to make calls.

Personally, I'm going to wait until someone comes out with a tablet that is a little more reasonably priced.

I'm interested in this...but there is so many tablets coming out this year from HP, LG, Samsung, HTC, etc...I can wait and see which one is the best. This one is on the top of the list though...just wish it was like a hundred dollars cheaper for the wifi only version

This is known,Honeycomb 3.0 is specially made to support this 10.1" tablets, but with minimal apps available to have full support of the tabs, makes this new androids tabs not worth buying out of the gate. Who wants to install android phone apps for there 10.1" tabs, the screen size will not stretch to the tabs resolution making the apps look dumbed down.

Ipad os and market support full apps that are made for the ipad.

no question in time the tab will be good, but just not at release IMO.

That's not to even mention the apps that already have honeycomb support.

That's just flat out not true. You been hanging around with apple fanboys? I have messed with a Viewsonic G-Tab running Honeycomb and the way the apps scale is great, it's nothing like the mess that iPad scaled apps turned out to be. Every app I tried looked good, though some did have a bit too much space in the app nothing was smeared, grainy or blurred out.

Really, my wife owns the galaxy tab, and it does not scale good at all, the galaxy tab is only 7" and the app don't even come close to scaling the whole screen.

Also I will have to see honeycomb my self in action, not some xda honeycomb.

It's to bad too right now, because bestbuy seems to only be selling the $799 version not the wifi only.

If the wifi-only version comes out before the new iPad, I will give it some serious consideration. I'm waiting to see what the battery life is like.

Looks neat. Not that stoked on Android. Going to stick with my iPad for time being. I'll probably revisit the tablets again in a year or so.

to say the least, from watching this video from engaget, I'm not really impressed at all, I say save your money for when there are apps to run on this tablet and I don't mean phone apps because clearly the guy review says they are stretched and look wired for this xoom., Right now the apps for honeycomb are where to be found, IMO this thing was rushed, for $800 right now to me it's not worth it. maybe a few months down the road

I may get one of these for work before the end of March. I already have an iPad but we may switch our field tablets.

The iPad is meh (and tablets are in general IMO esp for the price) but I prefer Android.

the Ipad for me is still far from Meh, it does everything for me still and beyond.

Read the review from engaget first, they are great on reviews, they tell it like it is, the Xoom is a great piece of hardware, but there support for apps right now are just not there. This will go for the rest of the complaints trying to release a honeycomb tab so quick.

In all honestly, Apple has nothing to be worried about. Plus frequent little updates to the Ipad latley are great.

Of course you like Engadget, they are Apple fanboys of the highest order.

Yeah, iPad does everything, except true multitasking, USB, HDMI, MicroSD expandability, limitless customization, video chat, the list goes on.

You keep harping on this supposed horrible phone app, but he barely mentions it in the video and his example didn't look bad at all, a little weird, sure, but it was completely usable and not at all blurred to death like an iPad stretched app.

Ok with the fanboy talk, because you seem like the android fanboy right now, I own an iPad an an android phone, I'm just calling it like I see it at this point, didn't say thing couldn't change, but for a 800 dollar tablet that doesn't have much support right is a tab not worrying buying right now.

The iPhone apps don't look bad on the iPad, do you even own an iPad, and please don't tell well my friend has one and blah, blah, you have to own an iPad appreciate it. I don't care for multitasking like you do, the iPad fits my needs and that that matters for me.
