ESPN and CBSSports both have them for free

Re: Where to get Free Sports Text Alerts

ESPN is good for individual teams but I had to cancel it this year for "news" for each sport. The college basketball "news" alerts from ESPN became 99% advertising for the games they were televising that night.

Text: Watch Texas A&M vs Colordo at 7pm on ESPN2.

Do not want. I had their text alerts since 2006 I believe and this was the first year they started that. They lost me with a quickness.

I've got a Droid now so ScoreMobile is the way to go anyway, much better than texts.

I also had to cancel ESPN "news" as I was getting some times 5-10 texts in 1 day and most of those were just watch this game, score at half, etc. It used to just be real news. CBS doesn't spam you like ESPN has started doing.
