One of my favorite bands, too. RIP Mike (though replacing him with Mike Inez was a great move for the band). -

I feel the connection every time I hear hate to feel, man. Dark album but that song alone helped me make the right choices growing up. I partied, but I never got into any real drugs.Comment

It's too bad Mike, Layne and so many other great musicians couldn't beat the demons. All that talent wasted.Comment

Sad news indeed. It's too bad that talent like Layne, Mike, and so many others fall victim to drugs. I'm glad the band is in a better place mentally and physically right now, so they can continue making great music. Dirt is one of the if not the best grunge albums ever.Comment

Yup... Very few people in big bands don't have addictive personalities. You MUST have an addictive personality to get really good on an instrument. Music is an addiction; especially playing it.Comment

When I think of all the musicians(not just rockers) who struggled with drugs and alcohol, you're probably right. Look at Miles Davis.Comment
