Re: R.I.P. Nate Dogg
Man, I was listening to some Nate Dogg along with a lot of the early to mid-90s West Coast rap. From NWA to G-Funk to 2pac...that's a whole era we'll never have again. I was in grade school to HS when all of these songs were out. Kids coming nowadays missed out on some great music. I'm sure our parents said the same thing about us, but it seems our generation was more open to check out older music. Even dude's like Dre and Snoop always gave props to the old school. These newer cats get their influence from other rappers. They just don't get it. Anyways, just wanted to post another Nate Dogg song, as he was more than just a hook singer.

Not a huge rap fan, but Nate Dogg was involved in two of my favorite rap songs ever.

Re: R.I.P. Nate Dogg
An under, underrated artist who was much more than a guy who provides the "hook" on a single. His two albums, "G Funk Classics Volume 1 & 2" (Double Disc) and "Music & Me" are classics that didn't get the respect they should have. He was great on the hook, but he showed on these albums that he could carry a track on his own too. He's probably the reason that G-Funk and West Coast hip-hop got to the point it is now and where it was at its height in the mid 90's. RIP Nate. Hip hop will never be the same without him.

Re: R.I.P. Nate Dogg
No b.s. Nate Dogg was in the upper echelon of my favorite music artists. I loved his soulful, but buttery smooth vocals that sounded like they came straight out of the old time 60s and funk-disco 70s; it worked well in juxtaposition of all the 'gangsta' rappers with which he collaborated. He may have not been the best rapper, but every Karl Malone needs that John Stockton: the selfless guy who makes everyone around him shine.
