Still waiting for them to fix the scrolling issue I'm having. I don't know to me Firefox 4 just seems heavier to me than Chrome. In slowly using it FF more but I want that mouse pad issue fixed which in sure they are working on. It's kinda funny how I started using FF back in the day and wouldn't use Chrome, now it's reversed. Anyone notice that scrolling with a mouse on some websites scrolling lags?

Click the Firefox tab, go to Options, then click the Advanced section. After that click the General tab and check Smooth Scrolling. That's probably your issue.

I rolled back to 3.5.2. Seems like Flash player was crashing the browser, especially on YouTube. Screw FF updates.

One thing though, I can't get my drop-down address bar back to the way it was. It was the "awesome bar" with the big entries, and I edited the about:config to 0 but now it's not showing anything at all. I just want a drop-down bar with the most frequent (or whatever it is) URLs....

EDIT: Now I installed an "Old Lo***ion Bar" extension but only the ones I've typed previously show up when I start typing....ugh, so compli***ed.

I'm using FF with a mouse right now but not really seeing a difference between it and Chrome. I think I'mma stay on Chrome until they work out the bugs.

I finally fixed my scrolling issue! Had to do a regedit. Liking FF 4 better since I can scroll with my mouse pad.

Upgraded to 4.0 a few days ago, so far not bad. I like the tab grouping and other features, but I've had a considerable number crashes so far(in comparison to 3.6). I assumed as much would happen though, FF updates can be pretty spotty at times. So long as their not as bad as Adobe Flash updates(the last 3 Flash updates have broken something for me, last time it was youtube), It's not much of a problem

I've been getting the redirect error a bit too. Seems only on OS, but only a couple times a day.

oh Firefox...i can't quit you

so after a week of using Google Chrome, there were still some add-ons/tweaks/preferences i just couldn't get 100% used to.

so i uninstalled FF4, made sure my profile got deleted, and did a clean install. i managed to get down to just 7 FF extensions and found a suitable (lighter) replacement for one of my favs Tab Mix Plus.

things are better now. more or less like FF3 - it'll start at about 100MB of memory in use. eventually, through opening and closing tabs all morning it will be at 400-500MB and i'll need to restart the browser just to keep things clean and moving along.

It's your extensions. I'm using one extension and have 11 tabs and an app tab and am at 260MB in use.

I've noticed in using FF4 that it's a lot better when using tabs rather than opening new windows. If that's the case and not just my crummy PC then that was smart of them. I'm actually using tabs now!

Anybody having any trouble clicking on links in OS? I click a link, a tab will pop up, but it never fully redirects to the link.

Any thoughts/solutions?
