Getting my PS3 Controller to work on my PC?

Hey you all...so I've tried about 3 different programs/drivers on the internet now that I've found off of google and none have helped me whatsoever. I own a ps3 (and a ps3 controller :P) and I'm trying to hook it up to my PC so I can play games like NBA 2k11 and NHL 04, which are a lot of fun with mods. Well, NHL 04 is fun with mods, but 2k11 looks much better on the pc than on the xbox or ps3, and add to that the fact that there are mods to improve the graphics even moreso!

Anyways, I've tried these things called SIXAXIS drivers, where I had to run this tiny application that literally flashed on my screen for about a half a second before closing itself. That did nothing aside from screw up all of my USB ports...my keyboard began spazzing, as did my mouse--they were clicking and moving and typing and selecting random things and basically going "ape****", lol.

I also tried this program called "Motionjoy", but that only made the face buttons work. Triggers, start/select buttons, and the analog sticks still refused to cooperate, and I went on their support forums and saw other people having the same issue--but the things they did to fix it actually WORKED for them.

So, I have to ask--does anyone on here use their ps3 controller on their pc, and if so, are they willing to share how they do it?

    Thanks!

I use motioninjoy and it works just fine, you just have to change the settings for Xbox controllers iirc

I've tried using the Motioninjoy drivers yet the d-pad and analog sticks DO NOT WORK at all. Furthermore, when playing an actual game, the face buttons decide to completely shut off, leaving me with a controller that only has working triggers and bumpers (sorry, I'm still used to the xbox 360 controller :P).

I'm going to try the second one that Enigma linked, following the Youtube video's instructions, and will reply once I've finished it through to tell you what happened.
