I don't think they're calling it that Zombie. I think they are more saying it's not gonna just focus on Xerxes as originally planned. That's why they added the 'Plus'. It's gonna probably be more encompassing and include more perspectives.
That's why I tried to put quotes around Xerxes Plus. That would indeed be an awful title.Comment

I definitely enjoyed the first one. I'm curious to know if it will be a rich story. They might want to wait for Zack Snyder to finish doing what he is doing so they can get a solid director under this sequel. I'm willing to wait for quality.Comment

Considering I didn't even know they were going to make a sequel, I def. don't mind waiting for a quality movie. I need to go back and watch the first. I have it on Blu Ray, but It's worked it's way to the bottom of the pile.Comment

Honestly I don't get why Snyder gets so much credit as a director. Sure 300 was great, but that's because he pretty much followed the book's writing and imagery for most of the film. In fact, the parts that he did change or add are pretty much the worst parts of the film (the senate/Gorgo/that weird dude scenes, the crazy monsters and ****, etc.).
The same could be said for Watchmen. And his first attempt (as far as I know) at an original film in Sucker Punch was mediocre at best.
Not saying that he is bad, but I don't really think that he has proven himself at all as a director. That combined with the fact that this should just be another case of "copy Frank Miller's art and dialogue and just add some filler here and there," I don't see how having or not having Snyder would make a difference.Comment
