just heard of this site and witnessed a iPad go for $1.87! ok, whats the caught?!! anyone else try this site and have some feedback, good or bad??...

you pay for the right to bid. Each bid cost you a certain amount of money

So you have to get very lucky and be the last person to bid, or else you've wasted your money. Risky because an iPad could probably go for $1.50 - or $50 - so if you start bidding at $2 you could end up making several hundred dollars worth of bids and still not come away with it.

I wouldn't recommend it.

I tried it with the free $10 bids, but like others have said, it's really hard to win. You have to be the last bidder and you could spend a ton of bid packages and still not win. Not worth it to me.

Most of these "penny auction" sites are nothing more than gambling, they're about as close to a legalized scam as you can get.
