Baseball Card "card table" Assistance Needed

I am in the "thinking process" of attempting to make / purchase a card table to play my Strat o Matic board game on. Card table with a surface size of around 32"X 32". I have a lot of no name baseball cards from the 80's and 90's and thought it would be neat to put together a table that had a surface of these baseball cards.

Checking the internet I found this.
Today I finished up a solid oak, baseball card collage table. It’s been finished with a golden honey color stain and the top surface has been covered in a glossy resin, which really makes the…

In the comments section of this page there is (was) a video on how to do this, get the high gloss look but the guy took it down as I guess he sells them now and doesn't want to give away his secrets. He does say it's a "glossy resin" surface but provides no further details.

Basically I'm checking to see if any OS members have any experience in this type of thing. I've checked the net extensively but can only find like three entries and all of them are related to the above link.

I am looking at either a wood, plastic, vinyl or felt surface. I am not sure if these cards are glued to the table (what kind of glue to use) and do not know what kind of glossy surface this guy is using. I would like to stay away from a glass surface and plexi-glass would most likely scratch.

Just going to attempt to make one of these for my man cave, thought it would be a great table to play Strat o Matic on.

    Anyone have any tips?

Google resin table top and you'll find lots of info covering other things into table/bar tops.

For the cards I would put down a very thin layer to affix cards then cover.

Thanks Burns, I've located some youtube videos that should be of some assistance after I googled resin table top. Now if only I have the skill to pull something like this off!

Use crap cards so you don't lose anything worthwhile if you screw up, but I bet you'll figure it out
