They needed to get someone as big as Arnold to be Conan.... That guy looks too small.

I hope that this is good, will be hard to live up to the original.

I'm on the fence with this one. The original is still one of my favorites, but I haven't decided what to make of this one. I'll probably see it, but I'll try not to go in with high expectations out of fear of disappointment. I hope this one doesn't stray too far from the story in the original.

3 words that kept me from liking the original.

James. Earl. Jones. With. Long. Hair.

            Ok, 6 words.

Well watching now the wig does look a bit silly, but I remembering watching as a child and being creeped out by him in the movie.

Just like I skipped the new Karate Kid, I too will be skipping this movie. The originals still work for me, so no reason to see a "new" take on movies that are only 25-30 years old.

I shudder to think of the day that Star Wars gets re-made or re-booted.

You know, I was hesitant about the new Karate Kid, but after seeing it, they did a good job reproducing the original and respect to the original.

Depending on who re-did Star Wars, the storylines could actually be more interesting.

Also the chemistry between Conan and the damsel was not good.

I agree. I thought this flick was really bad. Jason Mamoa made for a great Conan and I thought Lang made a solid bad guy. Unfortunately for them they did not have much to work with in this flick. Could not stand the female lead as well. This movie had the similar effect of the remake of clash of the titans..It made me appreciate the original even more. I hope Mamoa gets a second chance, new director, and better screenplay.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Saw this last week. There is only one Conan, Arnold! This guy was ok, but he was not brutal enough. I watched the original the other day. Although not as good as it could have been it was better than this remake. Maybe they will make another one with more of a Conan type feel to it.
