They are two very different movies, seemingly the only thing in common is that they both have super heroes as the central point. Talladegga Nights and The Fast and the Furious are both movies about racing but are completely different. ET and Alien are both centered around aliens but are vastly different movies.

Way to accuse me of being condescending when I clearly wasn't. I just don't feel like arguing. I can't win. I don't talk (or post) down to people-I'm not smart or arrogant enough.

I have a twin brother and a younger brother. My twin brother hated TDK and my younger brother thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Wrong thread. That's my bad. I responded to another post, but I should have let it die.

You're proving my point. Not sure why you're assuming it will only be an argument as opposed to a discussion.

How could I think you'd want to argue with me considering your original response?

And let's not forget you're You're proving my point. second response. Nah, you're not being argumentative. Way to lay the groundwork for a considerate debate.

          Really guys??

It's an Avengers thread. Is there really a reason to get this worked up. Keep it on topic.

My original response was on topic which was completely ignored. Hardly worked up just think its silly to not finish a thought because of the assumption that the forum will get worked up over discussion, as if were a bunch of 10 year olds who can't handle discussing the merits of movies. If anything the discussion that was being directed was a solid one. This is generally why I stick to my corner in the NBA forum thoughn

              After second viewing...

              I still love this movie.

Just...every character is so interesting and great. It takes a while, but basically when Tony Stark gets on the screen, the movie takes off.

See, that's how I know that I didn't have the same reaction to this movie as I did with TDK. I will be perfectly content waiting until this comes out on BR for my second viewing, where as TDK I saw it at midnight and then went to a noon showing the next day and a showing that Saturday night as well.

I left the theater thoroughly entertained but without that need to rush out and see it again.

If a mod says move along then move along

                  Thats plain and simple

Lets stop it with the batman talk in this thread when its about the Avengers... Lets keep the focus of the thread on the Avengers. Some people still haven't seen the movie yet... we dont need back and forth about other movies yet

This makes me glad I still own Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 on 360.

I immediately thought of that game when Iron Man shot his lasers on Captains shield

My wife, son, and I saw this last night, full house on a Tuesday night 7pm show! Simply amazing entertainment, VERY high quality blockbuster. Bravo to Joss for his direction and character moments. Everyone seemed to get their due and the movie still didn't feel jumbled or over-crowded to me.

Help me out, Marvel afficianados! After the initial credits, the 'bonus' scene they show....

Going tomorrow night to see a 3D showing of it. Can't wait. My wife has only seen Iron Man, will I need to give her a plot summary on the other movies for her to get an understanding, or is it ok to go in without the back stories? I've seen all the related movies.
