It looks really good and i'm think it will, but it just feel like the storyline is kinda similar to a lot of stuff in the past.

Apparently there are two types of Aliens in "Falling Skies".


(1) The armored "Mechs"



(2) The unarmored green "Skitters". Both are shown in this comic picture.

I don't know if the mechs are pure machine controlled by the skitters or a companion alien to the Skitters.

EDIT: Apparently they are used by and controlled by the aliens.

I just started it. It has Moon Bloodgood and Jessy Schram so that's a major plus starting out.

DVR'ed it. If it's good, I'm hoping TNT is more patient with it than ABC (V, Flash Forward), NBC (The Event), and Fox (Terminator:SCC) have been with their sci-fi shows.

The two part beginning wasn't great for me, lots of forced cliche, aliens with sketchy tech, aliens going from super powered to ineffective, etc.

I also get the feeling they had serious reservations about the series based on some of the bad CGI effects, it's like they pulled funding before they sent it to get the effects made.

I caught a little bit of this and will watch in full tonight, but some of the effects with the aliens did look bad.......almost cut and paste quality.

I wasn't too impressed with this..

Overall it was alright.. I'll probably watch it again next week and see if it improves.
