Is this a loose adaptation of that animated movie from a few years back, "The Battle for Terra"? I saw some pretty obvious similarities in the beginning of the preview but it veered off from the movie by the end of it. Still, it looks really good and I'm looking forward to it.

Show started tonight. I thought it was a pretty solid debut. I'm in for a few episodes to see if I get hooked.

Knew it was debuting soon, but was flipping through channels and caught the 1st hour a few minutes in. Loved it, gotta watch the 2nd hour somewhere as I had stuff to do

Very good premiere. Started off a bit slow for me, but really picked up greatly in the second hour. Definitely on my watch list.

There is an encore showing on Saturday at 7.

Fox is so ****ing stupid. You can't watch it online until 8 days after the airing. I don't see how they think that is a good idea. Most people will either just say f it, or just go download it for free.

I just downloaded the premiere off the PSN Network for free along with some other new show pilots. I thought it was okay, aside from a few cliche plot devices involving the main characters. The show's protagonist wasn't very interesting tho IMO, but it has potential if it can gain an audience. With the exception of 24, expensive shows on FOX have a rocky history.

With all of the "last group of humanity" shows going around this one is the worst. Visually stunning and good actors but the writing and plot are boring. After having watched BSG, jericho, walking dead, and falling skies there arent a lot of plots left that havent been done recently. This show might have been better had it come out earlier but its too late and ive seen it all before.

Its also all the little goofy things that bug me too.

They obviously have no problem with bringing technology into the past. So why does the guy have to cut weeds with a machete when they have laser cutters the size of a USB drive? and the moon being so much bigger? if it only moved 1 cm a year it would only be 528 miles further after 85 million years thats only a change of .2% i dont think that would even be a noticeable change.

they dont really matter to the plot but i think it just shows lazy writing, they cant bank on all action and family/love drama forever. There has to be substance at some point.

So I watched the pilot and saw the words I dread attached to a Sci-Fi show: Executive Producer Brannon Braga. And it's a show about time travel, figures. Anyway, the pilot took a lot of logic jumps to get to the main plot, you have to hope that isn't going to continue.

I thought the first episode was great, definitely going to keep watching. I'm glad they didn't spend too much time in 2149 even though it was rushed. The show does have the potential to lose me if it gets too mysterious and confusing. I want some mystery but I don't want to be completely lost most of the season just to have some big revelation near the end.

Im still watching it but I will admit I thought there was going to be more dinosaur interaction and lately there seems to be less and less of it. Its an alright show but I have a feeling its not going to live up to my expectations in the long run.
