The biggest commercial I've seen of it was during the SuperBowl. I guess if you don't watch NBC often, you wouldn't have seen it.

I will admit that I felt more encouraged to watch Awake because it was posted on this forum.

That's an issue though. Ads for NBC shows are not seen as much as others because less people are watching NBC to begin with.

So I'm about 2 minutes into the show and I hear the wife talk for the first time and I think to myself, "Oh ****, thats the chick from Terriers."

There's another show that got cancelled way before its time.

          Anyone watch the second episode?

I enjoyed it a lot but I'm getting a Journeyman vibe which saddens me.

I watched it. Definitely not as good as the pilot, but solid episode. Thought the "green world" case was kind of interesting (Pretty **** up what the doctor did), and a cool twist at the end of the show.

I'm slightly disappointed with the last minute reveal because it changes the show. Makes it more sci-fi rather than some inexplicable phenomena the man is going through.

Sometimes not everything needs an explanation.

Yeah it changes the whole dynamic of the show, but I'm fine with it because it also brings more substance, hopefully preventing the show from getting stale.

I did not like the reveal at the end of episode 2 at ALL. I really don't like the whole "conspiracy" angle. It seems so cliche and unnecessary, making the show more about twists and thrills than substance and character development.

                    Exactly how I feel.

Truthfully, it felt like a studio executive push. Something a head honcho said had to be thrown into the story because otherwise none of this makes sense.

How about just telling a story that involves a man battling between two realities in which one of his loved ones has passed away? That's already interesting enough.

Now the show feels like a more dramatic No Ordinary Family.

You know, with its low ratings, I'm walking away. Saving myself the disappointment. Hopefully Touch doesn't disappoint me.

I'm really enjoying the show, but after 3(?) episodes I'm ready for them to progress the reasons he's living in two worlds and the reasons behind the accident that sparked it all.

exactly why the show cant and wont last more than the half season. I hope they know this and have the whole thing wrapped up by then. I didnt mind the reveal at the end of the 2nd episode because you can only do so much with the dual realities especially since he doesnt care which one or if either of them are real.

I think that reveal is the death of the show.

It could have been a procedural with a dramatic twist. A man struggling between two worlds because he loves both people equally, but being handed this opportunity to experience both realities so that he could solve crimes and help people.

There are far more better reasons for him experiencing this: limbo, coma, a gift. This sci-fi element is hogwash.

There was nothing sci-fi about the twist on the second episode. Like NYG_Meth mentioned, it just opened up a "conspiracy angle".

The show feels kind of dry sometimes and I almost tuned out of it at the beginning of the third episode, but tuned back because there was nothing on. I must say I was glad I did. It was cool how he was trying to get advice with a criminal in one world, when he was dead in the other.

I agree the reveal would be the end of the show. It would affect Michael's whole life and possibly take off the illusion he's living. There's no "mini-series" label, so my guess the producers intentions is to make the series last even a couple of seasons if possible.

The only way someone can exist in two different worlds - using the assumption that an entity or corporation was responsible for it - is if something scientific was done to him.
