    Seth McFarlane's The Flintstones

Yep. He's helming the reboot of the Flintstones cartoon and apparently a film.

The show will arrive in 2013 on FOX.

It should be noted that McFarlane is a huge Hanna Barbera fan and once wrote for Dexter's Laboratory. He's been trying to win the rights to the Flintstones for some time now but FOX was hesitant for a long while. No longer.

No one's saying whether the show will be similar to Family Guy or a family sitcom. I'm expecting a mix of both. I'm also expecting that Seth McFarlane will use the Flintstones as an opportunity to show that he can create a different kind of cartoon not much like the trio he's most famous for on television.

*I should amend this. Didn't know that McFarlane actually worked for Hanna-Barbera and also wrote for Johnny Bravo and Cow and Chicken.

One of many hilarious Flintstones references on Family Guy.

When will this air? In the Sunday night more adult-oriented cartoon block or on like Saturday mornings?

That's what I get for being away from the forums for so long. Ok I'll close this. Thanks!
