Anything that gets Ben Linus back on TV is good for me.

JJ is going to have his own cable network that just airs reruns of his old produced shows.

What did people think of the first episode?

            I loved it.

My favorite pilot so far this season.

I mentioned in the Fall TV thread that I think the system gave Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson) Reese's social security number and that's why he was hired. That's my theory, at least.

I just watched this show this morning and it was pretty awesome. It's an interesting plot and I'll definitely be following it.

I'm still not at all clear about the SSN's but I'm not one to rack my brain about it.

So is it like Minority Report? I want to check it out, but I've never been a fan of shows that blatantly copy an idea(Mentalist).

I guess you could say it's sort of like that but the machine that Michael Emerson's character Mr. Finch developed spits out these numbers and nobody knows whether that person is the victim, the perpetrator, or simply a witness. The sure thing is the person is involved in it in some fashion. He hires Jim Caviezel's character John Reese to help because he can't stop the crimes on his own.

                  It's definitely worth a watch.

DVR'ed this and just got to watch this yesterday...very good show and worth a watch! I like how the Person of Interest can be good or bad and Caviezel's character is one bad dude. It will be interesting how all of the plot lines they created in the first episode will develop throughout the season. Hopefully, it sticks...I have had a bad run the past few years where new shows I like get axed after one season.

I said this in the Fall TV thread as well, so forgive me for being redundant: the one thing I find curious (though I understand it's for the purpose of telling a story in the show) is how the machine will spit out the SSN of someone but not the SSN of the other people involved.

I know I'm overthinking it and it doesn't really matter, but these are the things I think about because I have nothing better to do with my time.

Yes I definitely think you're overthinking it. I don't think you'll ever get an answer to your question.

Not even J.J. Abrams knows where this thing is going to go.

My favorite new show of the Fall so far. Nice to have Revenge and this emerge out of a lackluster group of new shows.
