I think this weekend will be more indicative of how much legs this series has. If there's is a huge dropoff then I doubt they even dare to do the same plot again. I saw this last nite because a buddy begged me to go and while it had some good chuckles here and there I was stunned in how it was pretty much a shot for shot remake and can't be even considered a sequel.

Talk about lazy filmmaking and even to a point where Alan had to have a goofy dream flashback at the monastary to advance the plot because they couldn't even be bothered to figure out a diffrent way for them to find the next place to go and I really thought the ending would be more imaginitive but they failed big time on that one to.

To each his own I suppose, but IMO this series is more about the characters than the actual plot itself. Neither movie will be winning an Oscar for the plot, but I feel the actual character writing is great, and thought the second one was even more funny than the first.

It is what it is though, and everyone can have their opinion, but I'll definitely be there for the third, especially if they switch things up a bit. I'd love to see what kind of trouble these three can get themselves in again.

I guess I'm one of the few that didn't care much for the 1st movie. It definitely had it's moments, but when people told me it was funnier than Old School, or Wedding Crashers, my expectations were very high. And it didn't reach them.

I'll wait for the sequel to hit HBO. Probably do the same for Part 3.

I agree, if you bought into the hype, there was no way you were not going to come away a bit disappointed. I didn't see The Hangover until it released on DVD, and while I thought it was pretty funny, I didn't think it was that great.

Not better than Old School or Wedding Crashers for me.

I don't know if my own Vegas trip led to Hangover being at the top of my list or not but I feel that both Hangover and Hangover II are better than Old School and Wedding Crashers... I can watch Hangover at the drop of a hat and I'm sure II will be the same for me... I enjoyed Old School but do not own it... I enjoy Wedding Crashers and own it but I have probably seen Hangover more times since its been out than Wedding Crashers since its own release

How is this a problem? I would think The Hangover appeals more to college aged people then 14 year old girls.

Even if you're right, the Hangover III will still make money at the Box Office. I don't see how that is a problem.

I highly doubt 14 year old girls are the biggest demographic of Hangover viewers though.

I'm sure I'll be checking it out within a few days of release. I've enjoyed the series. Like I saw earlier in the thread, I do think the third should be centered around Alan getting married. That would be hilarious IMO.
