Spoiler
Good Bye Gus. Please give Giancarlo Esposito an Emmy or Golden Globe or something.
What a final scene for the last Chicken Brother.
For those that didn't catch it the final episode was titled "Face Off"

Re: Breaking Bad season 4 - premieres 7/17/11
I'm totally blown away after tonight's episode. When they were shooting season 4 there was doubt if there would be a season 5. They wanted to make it so if this was the last episode of the show that it would have been wrapped up, which they did nicely.
SpoilerThe idea of Walt becoming the new Gus doesn't seem likely, they have the car wash and Skyler said it was making a profit. They will wrap up Mike's story some how, maybe he becomes the new Gus. I wonder what they cartel will have to say about the void being left by Gus's departure and the fact he wiped out two of their big players. I think this last season will be a lot of internal struggle with Walt trying to going back to living like a regular guyI've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Breaking Bad season 4 - premieres 7/17/11
Pretty interesting stuff and possibly why Gilligan chose this particular plant:
SpoilerThe flower is also known as Our Lady's tears, since, according to Christian legend, the lily of the valley came into being from Eve's tears after she was driven with Adam from the Garden of Eden,[12] although this seems unlikely, since in Catholic parlance, "Our Lady" refers to the Virgin Mary. Another Christian legend states that Mary's tears turned to lily of the valley when she cried at the crucifixion of Jesus, and because of this it is also known as Mary's tears. According to another legend, lilies of the valley also sprang from the blood of Saint Leonard of Noblac during his battles with a dragon. The name "lily of the valley" is also used in some English translations of the Bible in Song of Songs 2:1, although whether or not the Hebrew word "shoshana" (usually denoting a rose) originally used there refers to this species is uncertain.
It is a symbol of humility in religious painting. Lily of the valley is considered the sign of Christ's second coming. The power of men to envision a better world was also attributed to the lily of the valley.
I am seriously not trying to start up a discussion on this topic (I am a layman at it anyway) but thought you guys should see that (especially the bolded) in terms of the symbolism behind the plant. Definitely interesting, to say the least!Comment

Characters and their values are represented by the colors they wear. Skyler is usually dressed in blue and Jesse in yellow and red (when he is in recovery, he wears gray). Walter wears green because he is stuck between his family and the drug trade. When the Whites' daughter is born, pink is introduced to the spectrum.Similar color patterns show up during the series. The DEA agents, Hank and Gomez, wear orange, representing police. Marie is usually in purple and many of the other doctors on the show are seen in it as well. And Jane, the recovering heroin addict, wears black.Comment

From IMDB:
"On the season one DVD audio commentary, Vince Gilligan revealed that Jessie was originally going to die by the end of season one. However, they changed their minds after seeing Aaron Paul's performance."
How different would this show be if Jesse wasnt around the last 3 seasons?Comment
