I also don't like Celia's character, but I think that's how it's was supposed to be.

Yeah, but it was sheer drudgery to watch her. She was unlikable and not entertaining.

The show took a step back when:

Conrad and Helia left the show IMO. That dynamic made for an interesting dichotomy that they could have expanded on in later seasons instead of the exaggerated sub plots it's turned into.

I liked Conrad, until they got Nancy and him together. They had zero chemistry.

I wanted to see the new Weeds dealer supergroup in action with Celia at the head... they started well with her selling cosmetics and then to my knowledge there was no write out of the character(s)... that storyline just disappeared completely from the show while we followed the Botwins to Nancy's hometown... and the show definitely took a hit with no Conrad... glad to see Romany found a new show and after it picked up steam at the end of its premiere season I'm hoping for that show to come out swinging for season 2 with no real superhero competition

but yeah back to Weeds... definitely wished it would pick up where it left off with Nancy going to jail and this that and the third but I can see why that wouldn't work as something would've needed to happen that led to her not going to jail or the show would've become a female version of Oz... those were the only two real options for if they picked up from the end of last season... I won't be watching as it happens but I'm hopeful I can use my resources to get the episodes in some way, shape or form not long after they originally aired so I can atleast stay current with whats going on... HBO and Showtime aren't in my plans right now as I always seem to get stuck with one or the other or both when there's nothing on because I have to wait for months after one show I like ends before another show I like begins

No Ordinary Family was cancelled last month. Coincidentally Michael Chiklis's next project, Vince Uncensored will have Elizabeth Perkins (Celia) in it.

Chiklis committed to the "Vince" role months before No Ordinary Family was officially cancelled, so he would have been a busy actor had it been renewed. I guess the handwriting was on the wall.

Color me unimpressed after watching the season premiere last night.

I love how the name of the show is still Weeds and yet it has nothing to do with "weed" anymore.

Not that I know of-free that is. Xbox Marketplace will kick in the season opener in a day or two, but it will cost you $3 (240 points). All completed six seasons of Weeds are available.

I also wasnt impressed with the premiere but hopefully it picks up steam as it goes along. I really didnt like the way they took the easy road with Esteban and killing him off as well.

Are you joking? The episode aired already and Im not spoiling anything in the future as it was all stuff from the premiere. IMO, if the episode has aired and someone hasnt watched it then they shouldnt be coming in this thread, I went through this back when 24 was on and I just avoided the thread until I had watched it.

No I'm not joking. That's what the spoiler tags are for.

If I haven't seen the episode I can still come in the thread to get general impressions of it with out getting plot points revealed. No different than a movie review or non-sports game impression threads. That's not to say you can't discuss plot points but guess what?
