Samsung 43" plasma audio problem.
Hoping you guys could help me out with something. I purchase a 43" Samsung plasma today and I can't my surround sound nor Turtle Beach headset to work. I have tried every audio outlet and nothing works. Under my tv settings there is a External Speaker option. I switched that on and tried every outlet again and still nothing. The surround sound and headset hook up with the white/red audio cables. Any ideas? I'd appreciate the help.CP: MLB The Show 11; BLOPS; UC 2.

Re: Samsung 43" plasma audio problem.
What model tv do you have?
Most sets have a audio output via optical cable for surround sound. It'll give you surround sound when watching tv (satellite, cable or OTA) I'm pretty positive RCA cables (red and white) will be for inputs only.
You'll have to check to see if your set has a headphones jack. Some do, some don't.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 06-15-2011, 11:33 PM. -
Re: Samsung 43" plasma audio problem.
I have the 43D450 PDP Series. Got it from Best Buy today. Both my surround sound and my PX21 Turtle Beach headset hook up by the red, yellow and white cables. Since I have to hook it up through optical do I need some kind of adapter or something?CP: MLB The Show 11; BLOPS; UC 2.

Re: Samsung 43" plasma audio problem.
If not, you're going to need a converter like the one below and a optical cable:

The setup would be optical cable from tv to the converter box....then plug your surround sound or headphones into the converter box.
I can't vouch for how well these work because the ideal situation and best sound will be keeping it digital with no interference.Comment
