            #1 The Who - Quadrophenia
            #2 Pink Floyd - Animals
#3 Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

For me at least, can listen to any part of those 3 anytime and enjoy it greatly.

Re: What's your favorite "concept" album?

Mine aren't so much concept albums as they are concept bands. Both are absolutely fantastic.

              Coheed and Cambria
The Second Stage Turbine Blade (2002)
In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (2003)
Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness (2005)
Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow (2007)
Year of the Black Rainbow (2010)

              The Dear Hunter
Act I: The Lake South, The River North (2006)
Act II: The Meaning of, and All Things Regarding Ms. Leading (2007)
Act III: Life and Death (2009)

If there was just a single concept album as my favorite (without there being a band concept), it would easily be The Receiving End of Siren's "Between the Heart and the Synapse" album. Amazing.

                  Ry Cooder's Chavez Ravine.

                  From Wiki:

Chávez Ravine: A Record by Ry Cooder is a concept album and historical album by Ry Cooder which tells the story of Chávez Ravine, a Mexican-American community demolished in the 1950s in order to build public housing. The housing was never built. Ultimately the Brooklyn Dodgers built a stadium on the site as part of their move to Los Angeles.

I saw them open up for Iron Maiden back in 1985 at the New Haven Coliseum, great show from what I can remember.

I think ICE Cube's Death Certificate rates up there. Public Enemy's It take a nation of Millions to hold us back as well. The Who's Quadrophenia comes to mind as well.

                              Boys Night Out - Trainwreck

It's about a guy who murders his wife in his sleep. Pretty intense and sometimes emotional stuff.
