I like the style too, but don't know any songs, I really like how poppers/hip hoppers dance to it though.

They played it at a club I went to over the summer, yeah it's certainly new and interesting but not for me.

I like it. Trance gone main stream pretty much though.

What I like to do... is hit up soundcloud and just listen to what people are doing... and if I like, do some quick searching to find out more.

Also on Soundcloud, alot of times people will have the d/l link enabled so you can d/l straight from there, or they have a link to their site, etc...

Also what type of dub do you like?

Taken from another site, I visit:

Hey guys, Hamburglar here. This is basically a thread to help out the people wondering about the different types and sub-genre's of the growing genre dubstep. I hope this can be read and can help out both veteran listeners and the newcomers to dubstep.

Now let's get to the Dubstep!

                          Normal Filthy Dubstep
                          • This Is the type of dubstep that most people know. It features the grimey basslines, heavy drums, and often times, interesting samples.

                          <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cMm4j4aSuVo" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="349" width="425"></iframe>

                          Deep Dubstep (Deepstep)
                          • Deep dubstep is different. It's a lot more minimal. It usually features the normal simple dubstep drum pattern but a smooth and gut wrenching bassline. Instead of the crunchy bass you normally hear in dubstep. Think of it this way. Compare Electro house with Deep/Minimal house.

                          <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/1QQPY3m62YE" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="349" width="425"></iframe>

                          Hiphop Dubstep (Dubhop)
                          • Some people would consider this straight up hip-hop to the untrained ear. Dubhob is a fusion of Dubstep and Hiphop. It usually has hiphop-like samples but dubstep elements added like drums, bass, or little ambient tweaks that make it dubstep.

                          <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/3Q_jic_WIsQ" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="349" width="560"></iframe>

                          Glitch Dubstep (Glitchstep)
                          • Glitchstep can be all types of dubstep but has "glitchy" and/or trippy sounds such as choppage, un-even drums, glitch-like effects, etc...

                          <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Kcv7sXYkIJg" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="349" width="425"></iframe>

                          <object height="390" width="640"></object>

                          Tribal Dubstep
                          • Tribal Dubstep has ethic and/or tribal soudns added to it to give it a different feel. It can have the same grimey sound but extra tribal instruments such as bongos or tambourines.

                          Vocal Dubstep
                          • Vocal Dubstep can have any type of dubstep really but focuses on vocals like singing, rapping, and lyrics in general.

                          ------------------------------------

                          Dub
                          • This technically isn't considered dubstep but I thought I should throw this in there. Dub is a genre (Or sub-genre to some) that features reggae/rasta vibes liek a reggae bassline, ambience, and overall chillness. It is a lot more mellow than dubstep but still has that "Dubstep feel". Some types of dubstep have Dub additives.

Here is an example of normal dubstep with a dub feel to it:

                          ------------------------------------

I really hope this helps you guys out on the subject of Dubstep sub-genre's and hopefully this can be the first dubstep sticky at GC!

                          Thanks for reading!
