    Falling Skies on TNT

I was looking for a new show to watch after The EVENT was canceled and found this. Pilot was on last night. Did anyone else see it, and if so, what did you think?

It was ok. Not great or anything but it wasn't horrible either. I like the cast so I'll stick with it unless it gets really bad.

Trash was boring most of the time

4 hours and at least 3 of those hours they just talked and talked with no action

Its like where you're watching a show then you find yourself blanking out several times

They advertised as earth being invaded but i saw more people arguing and fighting and trying to win verbal wits than it was them all fighting aliens.

It was decent, I mean they had to set it all up and everything so it deserves to get a few more watches in me before deciding if it's great or now. Disappointed they didn't get into more detail about the invasion either as a flashback or something, but oh well it has caught my attention

Very bland in my opinion. Felt to me like it was trying to be The Walking Dead, Independence Day, War of the Worlds, but capturing none of the tension of those.

The first episode was meh, but I think the second episode was much better. I'll give it a few more epis before deciding.

Just finished watching it, and it was pretty good. The CGI was alright and the story is heading in a interesting direction from the first pilot episodes.

That's how I felt. Almost fell asleep during the first one, and the second was somewhat better thanks to the addition of the leader from that criminal gang. He's by far the best character on the show. Everyone else is just boring.

CGI was pretty awful also. Some parts were nearing SyFy quality.

Yeah, some of the CGI is very bad. LOL! I do agree that they are nearing SyFy channel quality CGI.

I've tried twice to make it through the 2 hr pilot and I've fallen asleep both times. It's not that boring but it's not really interesting either. I feel like I've seen this done before. The dialogue is pretty bad and like others are saying, the cgi is pretty bad too. Smallville had better cgi. I thought this show had a decent sized budget? Or maybe I'm confusing it with Terra Nova.

I can see this show filling up space on my dvr but I can't see myself watching week to week unless it really picks up.

same thing i said. i just wish that instead of having the kid reading what happened in the beg...if they wanted to keep in line with the amt of time to give the backstory, all they had to do was make a montage play out all of the scenes while the kid read and described it. wouldve been a more engaging approach in my opinion.

im only thru the 1st hour tho and will watch the rest tonight or tomorrow to get the whole 2hr episode in. im rooting for it but expectations will remain low. id prefer to be suprised rather than let down.

Its almost not worth it though.. like I said you'll find yourself blanking out like "oh yeah I was watching this wasnt I"

You wait and wait and wait for something to happen and it never comes.

I see this show as a FAIL that wont last too long at this rate

I thought the second show was quite a bit better than the first, but I still think the show's concept is MUCH better than it's execution.
