I don't know...was a fan before, but after seeing what HBO can do with incredible source material in Game of Thrones, this is almost corny. Wish it wasn't.

I was a little worried that True Blood had past it's prime while watching tonight's episode. However, after seeing some of the previews this season could actually shape of nicely. I am cautiously optimistic at this point.

I've yet to watch the season 4 premier(on DVR) but I see your point about it being corny. At this point I've invested 3 seasons so why not see where this one takes me. That and my unexplainable attraction to Sookie.

Edit - I can explain the Sookie attraction but I'd break everything that TOS has to offer. I'm a twisted individual.

You can't compare this to Game of Thrones. For one GOT is much more "heavy" so to speak. I think everyone expects True Blood to have some kind of camp to it based on the source material.

As for tonight's episode...What? No really. WHAT???

I've been going through the blu-rays in hopes of catching up and being able to find some streams before HBO takes them down.

With that said, the campier and more outlandish this show gets the more I love it. Its fun and hilarious. Plus, its not like the books are too serious either.

Nope, it was Tara in the most random WTF moment of the day. In fact, there were plenty of WTF moments thoughout the show.

For starters, WTF is up with Sam and his posse of shifters. Not sure what will become of this but I'm sure they'll think of something.

I like how they said that Sookie was away for over a year so it gave time for peoples storylines to progress into new or more indepth storylines. Jason's storyline with the werecats will get interesting no doubt. I'm diggin Bill as a badass. He's always had this sense of innocence in his character and now I got a feeling he's gonna be completely badass this season. Layfeyette(sp?) and his witch doctor dude story may get interesting as well.

Plus you gotta love the angle they're going with Bill.

As much as I really enjoy this show now - I think WTF is going to be the most commonly used phrase by me this season.

Interesting way to start the season. I must admit the opening scene wast he biggest WTF moment for me. Hope they tone it down just a bit for the rest of the season. Either way I'll be watching each week.

I liked the premiere..I finished watching seasons 1-3 a few weeks ago. It's a fun summer show and it shouldn't be taken seriously. Some moments drag and some of the stuff is out there cheesy but overall the show is entertaining. Every season has a few great moments that you remember.

Hope we see more of Jessica at Fangtasia this season!

The 1 year time jump works and I really like it.. Seasons 1-3 took place over a few weeks and this lets them reset some of the characters. It felt fresh.

FYI- Next weeks episode is up streaming right now on HBOGO. Didn't get a chance to watch last night b/c the site was getting hammered but tonight I will.

Yeah. I had about three or 4 from last nights episode. Especially with Bill. I had thought it was odd when eric showed up at Sookie's(Eric's?) House and he actually listened to Bill and left. Made sense in another WTF moment with Bill later...
