Mine is the Pine Tar game between the Yanks & Royals in '83 when George Brett went NUTS on the Umps for taking his homer away b/c the bat had too much pine tar on it. I remember watching the game with my dad and him calling his friends to talk about it.

Re: What's your earliest sports memory?
the 1996 College World Series Finals, only because I was scared to death because my dad was screaming so loud (from excitement)
The first game I remember watching was the 1997 Alabama/LSU game, because that was first trip to Death ValleyLast edited by Watson; 06-26-2011, 10:10 PM.And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: What's your earliest sports memory?
The first thing I remember definitively was the Bills CRUSHING the LA Raiders in the AFC Championship game in the 1990 season. I was a sports fan starting in '89 but things were more hazy then but I definitely remember that AFC Championship game like it was yesterday.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Roger Clemens being ejected from game 4 of the 1990 ALCS vs Oakland. I swear 80% of the A's fans had a broom with them. Needless to say the Red Sox lost and Oakland completed the 4 game sweep.Comment

Re: What's your earliest sports memory?
I remember being at an Astros game vs. Cincy in 1991. I was 6 at the time. I don't remember a thing about the game. But the 1st game I watched on TV was Astros/Braves in 1991...the final weekend of the season. The Braves won the division that day.
Been in love with baseball ever since. My overall favorite sport.Astros

Re: What's your earliest sports memory?
I suppose the earliest individual thing I can remember clearly was the first night game at Wrigley Field on 8/8/88 (and the fact that it was rained out and played for real the following night).
I watched baseball before that, but nothing stands out that I actually remember seeing.Comment

Re: What's your earliest sports memory?
I barely remember it....but I do a bit.
I was only turning 5, but my pop worked for the city as an engineer and one of his responsibilities was Flushing Meadows and Shea Stadium. He took me there quite a bit(work).
I think I remember going to work with him more than baseball actually....so I'll go with the '71 Pirates W.S. and most vividly the '73 series(which devastated me)

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment
