Just attended the start of yesterdays 10 day music festival in Milwaukee, called Summerfest.
I was able to watch 3 different bands, (Animation/Rush Tribute Band), Quinn Sullivan and Buddy Guy.
Walking around with my wife, I said, who is this, Justin Bieber? I was way off the mark. I couldn't believe the notes on the blues this 12 year old kid was playing. Buddy Guy had him play on stage at the age of 8 and helped him put his 1st CD together. Saw a few minutes of Buddy doing Hootchie Cootchie Man and at age 74, Guy can still shred the guitar. Nice he is helping the career of a young blues person as this kid can shred it too. On several occasions, including the song Little Wing, after guitar solos, the crowd gave standing ovations.
Big Mistake- Kids name is Quinn Sullivan, not Johnson. If a mod could change it, I would appreciate it.
