I really hope they don't go that direction. Do we really need yet another sitcom with potential to go for the obvious relationship pairing. It's lazy IMO.

I laughed uncontrollably on 4 separate occasions.

      Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Oh, I agree. Completely agree with this.

I thought it was a decent pilot but kind of curious how the new actor fitted in with the cast. I thought Wayans did a good job and seemed like a good fit for the show. Him yelling at the girl on the bike was hilarious.

          And Zooey...

Personally I feel the same way. It looks so damn obvious that there's gotta be a twist somewhere.

Allow me to surprise nobody when I say that I quite liked the pilot. I laughed throughout, that's all I ask. I'm bad with names, so for lack of a better term Douchebag Guy was amusing to me. His random shirtlessness, his use of the term "Broseph" (a term I use when feeling especially douchey), and of course the Douchebag Jar. He makes me laugh. I worry about him being a one-note joke and growing old, but for now I enjoyed the douchiness.

I liked when Coach walked into Zooey's (I will always call her that) room and smashed whatever the fudge that was on her table with his basketball. Also enjoyed him thinking that yelling was the key to dealing with women. Like when he yelled at Zooey in their practice conversation about shopping, or yelling "STOP IT. STOP IT." at her whenever she was crying.

I don't have a ton to say about the other guy. Clearly the straight man to the characters around him.

I'd gush about Zooey at this point, but I think we all know that I love her. And I love her even more in this role. I love every single thing about her character. We're just going to leave it at that.

Solid second episode, I thought. Not quite nectar, but still pretty good. I laughed a lot.

Oh, nectar? It's a volleyball term.

Best part of the episode, imo, was Zooey introducing herself to Winston via singing. Which she's done a lot, I know, but the way she just held the hell out of the note and how we didn't see it but instead saw the guy's reactions outside the room was hilarious to me.

I liked the pilot much better than this episode.

I know it's early, but Coach >>>> Winston. Sad to see him go.

Higher ratings than Glee both ways, which makes me laugh, and the highest rated show last night in the coveted Adults 18-49 demo.

                        I hate Glee.

                        - I'm not crazy about it either.

I hate it! I don't understand the appeal at all.

Glee sucks so if New Girl is higher rated than so be it.

I didn't really feel this episode but the whole Schmidt and Jess' ex part was pretty funny.

Great to see the New Girl do well in the ratings. You can buy the theme song on iTunes.

I follow the ratings and I'm amazed at how well CBS does despite having no social media buzz for the majority of their shows.

If you go by Internet/Social Media Buzz you would think shows like Glee, Community, The Office, etc... would have far higher ratings than almost every show on CBS but it's the exact opposite.

CBS dominates with old people, who aren't all that vocal on the internet.

I would also expect shows like Community and Glee to have a lot stronger fan-base (ie: grassroots support) than anything CBS is pushing out now.
