Does anyone who is actually in the beta have any impressions? I've read a little about what Google+ is but would like to hear the positives and negatives so far.

People are talking about this supplanting Facebook. I don't know... it's going to have to provide substantially better services than Facebook because I doubt most people are going to use both and Facebook is the incumbent.

If most of the people I knew switched, I'd be perfectly fine switching as well. I like it, it's a little more simple than Facebook and the "Hangout" idea (the group videochat) is pretty awesome.

However, since it'll probably just be another place to talk to OSers for me, it probably wont get as much use as Facebook does.

Thanks Ruff for the invite! Got it to work today (last night they were full).

Got my GF one as well and we're gonna start messing around with it. There's also an Android app, for those interested.

Circles seems pretty cool, a easy way to segment your friends and only share some stuff with certain groups. I know Facebook has something similar but it's not very intuitive
