Recommend a mail server....

I'm ready to dump Yahoo. Any Rx for a good mail server. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. In fact the less, the better. I don't care about facebook or twitter interactional garbag-i-o. Just something that handles pretty large attachments if I ever need it and can embed pix when I want to. Of course, something secure. I've had to set up a side hotmail account and I'm not interested in anything M$ related.

Gmail is great out of all the mainstream, fast and 99% spam free...

But you want a amazingly secure fully encrypted one...

To add onto that, I would also recommend PGP encrypted e-mail.

The hushmail looks interesting..... can you embed pix? I may set up a dummy account and see how it handles.... thx for all the tips gents.

What does facebook have to do with gmail? gmail is google and also the story is known to be not accurate other than some of the events.

I was thinking about switching from Yahoo to G-Mail as well. Is it easy to make that transition, when ALL of your e-mail is with one main account? I know I can forward e-mails, but ideally I'd like to just have one account in the future.

The cool thing with G-mail, though other mail servers might do it as well, is that you can transfer all of your e-mail from your old server, and for up to the next thirty days you can still have them imported from your old server as well.
